Basic Page Setup
"Basic Page Setup" includes consulting with the customer to determine the overall requirements of the site, the message that the customer wants to portray, and the
basic functions to be performed. Envision2000 will use those requirements to build a
graphic web environment that will entice the visitors to stay and see what you have to say.
Additional Pages In order to determine rates, a "page" of text is 350 words or less. In some cases, Envision2000 may split single pages of information in order to make each page display more quickly.
eCommerce: Although nearly 35 percent of small businesses maintain a Web site, according to the
U.S. Small Business Administration, most use the Internet for e-mail or research. Only about a fourth use it to sell goods or services. All of the eCommerce sites built by
Envision 2000 use crisp, clean images to sell the products and services, with a reliable, secure ordering system with flexible options to the customer and an administrative
order retrieval control panel for the site owner. (See our Case Studies page for more info)
Here are a few options:
- PayPal (www.paypal.com)
Free account creation, allows you to accept credit card payments without
needing a merchant account. Products use a "Buy" button that links the buyer to the PayPal site for payment.
- Mal's eCommerce (www.mals-e.com)
Free service for collecting payments using a shopping cart and checkout service
located on their servers. Can be upgraded for a small monthly fee to include real-time gateway payments through Authorizenet and similar payment services.
These payment services can cost from $10 to $50 per month plus setup and transaction fees.
- osCommerce (www.oscommerce.com)
Our preferred shopping cart. This powerful database driven cart has more
features and flexibility than any commercial package on the market, and it's Open Source... meaning FREE to use in any way you see fit. There are
hundreds of FREE add-ons available to customize and enhance your desired features. We have many clients running osCommerce right now, and they all
love it. It can be used "out of the box", but most installations require some customization ranging in cost from $200 to $3000. You can use a variety of
shipping carriers and payment processors, but accepting credit cards will require a secure server certificate ($75 for GeoTrust to $300 for Verisign per year
) and an optional payment processing gateway like Authorize.net. You can accept cards and process them manually if you already have a merchant
account, and it's also possible that your bank has a compatible payment gateway available.

Offsite secure payment processing service from a brand name company. The costs are a higher, but the service is rock solid and affordable for sites that desire brand name recognition.
Search Engine registration/Web Positioning:
Statistics prove that the #1 source people use to find new websites is through well-placed search engine listings. It is also now common knowledge that simply getting
listed on a few big search engines will merely place you in a crowd with thousands of others that are competing for your customer's business unless you use effective search
engine optimization . For these very reasons, Envision 2000 gives you the very edge you need to drive targeted traffic to your website. (

Clipart/Photographs/Graphics
Included in the Basic Page Setup will be any graphics necessary to the basic "look" and feel of the web page. This includes clipart and icons used for navigational buttons
and/or to accent a segment of information, separator bars to make a clear division between sections of a single page, and digital photographs. See our Case Studies or

Links to other sites
Buttons, Icons, and Text can be "linked" so that if someone reading a web page clicks the mouse on the item, the web browsing software can "jump" to another page within
the website, or to a page on someone else's website.
Links are simple to configure, and are therefore included without any additional charges (as long as you don't want hundreds of them!).
Animated sites and graphics
Instead of a graphic that just sits there and does nothing... in the web you can insert "animated" photos, text, or entire pages to create movement. The technology behind
these animated features is called "Flash", and if you're interested... we can provide all the animation you can handle. For examples, see our Case Studies page..
If a customer wants to create a custom animation, the price will depend on the complexity of the graphics and the number of frames in the animation.
Custom Artwork/Logos/Photographs
If a customer wants a custom graphic created, the cost will depend on the complexity and time required to create the graphic. Envision2000
can also provide professional studio and still photography services if needed.
Image Scanning/Digitization If a customer would like to have an image or photograph scanned and saved in digital
format for placement onto a web page, the processing charge will be $10 for each scanned item. A bulk discount can be arranged for large quantities.
Forms (for feedback or submitting info)
If you are interested in gathering information from the visitors to your site, a form that contains fields for name and address, phone numbers, feedback on their thoughts of
your business or the web site, or a basic questionnaire can be added to any page.
Additional Forms A single form for capturing basic information is included in the Basic Page Setup. If a
customer wants a more elaborate form or any additional forms, the charge will be dependent on the size and complexity of the form(s).
Submittal to Search Engines Once the site is complete, the customer will want to be sure that people interested in
finding the site will be able to do so without much trouble. In order for this to happen, the web site needs to be "registered" with the major search engines most commonly
used when people are trying to find something on the web. (See our Search Engine Positioning page for more details)
Guestbook/Bulletin Board/Discussion Forum A guestbook or forum on a web page can be used to capture immediate feedback from
the visitors to your site in a public manner. Each visitor leaves their name, e-mail address, web page, or any feedback they would like to share. Once submitted, the
guestbook entry they have created appears on another page containing all of the guestbook entries from other visitors. Any visitor to the site can either make an entry to
the guestbook, view the guestbook, or both. Example >>
Site maintenance/page updates
Occasionally, you will need to have changes and updates to your web page(s). We prefer to install a Content Management script on the server that allows site owners to
make their own changes through a browser-based login. If you plan to make frequent updates to your site, then is is an upfront cost that will save you time and money in the
long run. A typical installation of the Content Management tool takes about 2 hours of labor. If your site rarely needs updates, then we can make the changes for you and the
cost will be billed hourly. (More info is on the pricing page)
Site redesign Depending on the number of visitors that view your pages, it is a good idea to change
the "look" of your page(s) every once in a while. It can be as simple as changing the colors of the text and backgrounds, plus a few new graphics... or as complicated as a
complete site overhaul, with a whole new layout.
